Farhana currently teaches Mathematics at one of Toronto’s leading private schools and previously served as Head of the Mathematics Department at another school. She holds an Engineering degree from Assumption University of Thailand and a master’s degree from Framingham University. She has several years of experience teaching high school Mathematics, including IB Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches and Applications and Interpretation, and she is an IB Mathematics examiner who assesses Internal Assessments.
Farhana is deeply committed to helping students make significant progress, including students who begin at a lower achievement level and are aiming for top IB results. She believes that no student is incapable of doing Mathematics and that, with the right direction, structure, practice, and encouragement, every student can improve. Her teaching focuses on building strong conceptual understanding, mathematical confidence, clear communication, and effective exam technique.

Farida graduated from the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme in 2021 with an outstanding score of 43/45. She achieved 7s in Business Management HL, Psychology HL, English B HL, and Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation SL, alongside 6s in Chemistry SL and Arabic A: Language and Literature SL. She also earned the full 3 core points, achieving an A in both Theory of Knowledge (TOK) and her Extended Essay (EE). She later graduated with honors from The American University in Cairo (AUC).
Having experienced the demands of the IB firsthand and achieved excellent results across a diverse range of subjects, Farida understands both the academic pressure and stress that come with the Diploma Programme. She knows that succeeding in the IB is not simply about understanding the content, but also about developing effective study strategies, managing workloads, preparing for assessments, and maintaining confidence throughout the journey.
As a tutor, Farida is supportive, patient, and genuinely invested in her students’ success. She aims to make challenging concepts easier to understand while adapting her teaching style to each student’s individual needs and goals. Having experienced how demanding the IB can be, Farida wants to make the journey less stressful and more manageable for her students, while being someone they can rely on for both academic guidance and encouragement. Her goal is not only to help students achieve excellent results, but also to help them build confidence, enjoy the learning process, and feel supported throughout their IB experience.

Haiyan Wang is an experienced Mandarin teacher with over 20 years of teaching experience in universities and international schools in both China and the UK. She specialises in IB Chinese Language B (SL/HL) and Ab Initio, as well as IB Chinese Language A Literature (SL/HL).
She has worked as an IB examiner for around 10 years and has in-depth knowledge of IB assessment criteria. This allows her to effectively prepare students for both internal and external assessments, including oral exams, Paper 1, Paper 2, and Extended Essays. Her expertise helps students improve both their language accuracy and exam performance with confidence and clarity.
Haiyan has supported both native and non-native Chinese-speaking students from a wide range of cultural and educational backgrounds. She is known for her patient, structured, and highly supportive teaching style, with a strong focus on building student confidence and independent learning skills.
She tailors each lesson carefully to individual needs and believes students achieve their best when they feel supported, motivated, and appropriately challenged. Her lessons are engaging, structured, and designed to help students not only succeed in exams but also enjoy the process of learning Mandarin.

Dr Hana is a medical doctor who graduated from medical school with Honours, placing in the top decile of her cohort. Before medicine, she achieved an outstanding 43/45 in the IB, including 7/7 in both Biology HL and Chemistry HL, and was named Class Valedictorian.
With over six years of tutoring experience and more than 100 students taught, Hana brings both expert scientific knowledge and a genuine love of teaching to her lessons. She knows first-hand that students can completely transform academically with the right support. Her strength is making difficult concepts feel simple, building confidence, and teaching students how to think rather than simply memorise. She wants every student to leave her lessons thinking, “I can actually do this.”

I am Hans Koster and a native from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. I have been teaching IB/DP , IGCSE and 'O' and 'A' levels for the last 20 years on a variety of internationals schools, both in Europe and the U.S. I carry degrees from Leiden Uni. in Leiden, The Netherlands, and completed my doctors course work at Carnegie-Mellon Uni. in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. I have played First Division Amateur soccer in Holland and have coached for the last 20 years as well. Besides being a soccer fanatic, I am also a wolf conservationist supporter being associated with Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary in Ramah, NM. I read quite a lot as well and try and link my readings to what I teach in IB History and ToK. Finally, and not necessarily on an academic note, I am a Monty Python fan, so you know(LoL). Harsha Biniyani is an Economics and Business Studies tutor with nearly 10 years of teaching experience across IB, IGCSE, AS and A-Level curricula. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.), and currently works with students in Dubai, specializing in IB Economics and IB Business Management (SL & HL), along with Cambridge, Edexcel, and AQA Business and Economics.
Over the years, Harsha has worked with students from different academic backgrounds, helping them strengthen their understanding of key concepts, improve exam technique, and develop the confidence needed to excel in their assessments. She has extensive experience preparing students for IB assessments, including Internal Assessments, case studies, data response questions, and extended written responses, with a strong focus on evaluation and real-world application.
Harsha believes that Economics and Business are best understood when students can connect theories to the world around them. Her lessons are structured, interactive, and tailored to each student’s learning style, ensuring that complex ideas become clear and manageable. She focuses not only on improving grades but also on building students’ confidence, critical thinking skills, and independent approach to learning.
Her teaching philosophy is simple: create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, challenging ideas, and developing the skills needed to achieve their academic goals.
