Alex is a second-year Economics student at University College London on track for First-Class Honours, after having graduated from Vienna International School with the IB Diploma, scoring 44/45 points.
Alex is natively fluent in Spanish, German, and English and proficient and Russian and French, allowing him to accommodate students to their preferred language. This is reflective of his teaching style: Alex places a large importance on adaptability and catering to students' particular needs, which often is the lacking factor in the classroom. Having been in the IB system his entire life, Alex is comfortable working with a diverse range of students and appreciates their individual requirements.

Andra Popescu-Birlan graduated from Bocconi University with a BSc in International Economics and Management and is now beginning her Master’s in Management at London Business School. During high school, she was consistently on the high honor roll, earning 9 A*s in her IGCSEs and a 43/45 in the IB Diploma with 7s in her Higher Level subjects (Mathematics AA, Economics, and Geography). Andra has several years of experience tutoring IB students and is passionate about helping them build confidence in their problem-solving skills and exam techniques. She believes that effective tutoring is not only about achieving excellent results but also about nurturing curiosity and motivation. Her goal is for every student to feel supported, engaged, and confident in their ability to succeed, both in the classroom and beyond.

Ava has 30 years experience of teaching Geography and Environmental Science. She worked for 15 years in one of the top schools in Hong Kong where she taught IB Geography and ESS . She has a BSc, PGCE and MPhil from Durham university, an MA from Kings College London and a PGDE from Bristol university. She is a life-long learner who will help and support you to get the best possible grade achievable.

Jason is a seasoned humanities subject teacher, teaching across a variety of subjects, including CAS, Environmental Systems and Societies (HL and SL), Global Perspective, Global Politics, Individuals and Societies, Economics (SL only), Religious Studies, Social Studies, History, Philosophy and Theory of Knowledge. Jason was awarded a Second Class Degree in Bachelor of Social Sciences (Government and Laws) and Bachelor of Laws, while I spent most of teaching career in Geography, especially appreciating the dimensions of human geography. Jason aims at building a solid knowledge foundation to be built upon, and equipping students with the exam techniques to be successful. Jason’s sessions are structured, focused, always questioning so that students are prompted to think more and are given the opportunities to articulate themselves, essential skills to be successful in IBDP.

Dr. Sonal Agarwal holds a Ph.D. in Commerce, a Master’s in Economics, a Master’s in Commerce, and a B.Ed from M.J.P. Rohilkhand University, alongside specialized diplomas in International Trade and Systems Management. With over 27 years of global teaching and academic leadership experience across India, Ghana, Benin, and Togo, Dr. Agarwal is a distinguished international educator specializing in IBDP Economics, Business Management, and Geography, as well as Cambridge IGCSE and A Level Business Studies. Her deep institutional expertise includes serving as an official IB Examiner and Team Leader for Business Management since 2015, a Cambridge International Assessment Examiner, and a CAT2-trained IB educator who has undergone specialized IB training through Kent State University. Beyond the secondary classroom, Dr. Agarwal brings extraordinary academic depth as a former Acting Dean and Associate Professor, an International Ph.D. Examiner, and a prolific researcher with over 18 published papers and 35,000+ reads on ResearchGate. Having successfully mentored and guided more than 700 university and higher education students throughout her career, her students consistently excel under her expert guidance, achieving top marks through her targeted exam strategies and rigorous academic preparation. Dr. Agarwal’s teaching approach combines structured, conceptual clarity with practical real-world applications, fostering an engaging, supportive environment that builds genuine confidence and empowers students to master complex global concepts.
