Achieving a 7 requires strong performance in both written and oral tasks. Recently, about 6–8% of HL and 8–10% of SL students earned a 7. With consistent analysis and strong writing skills, top scores are within reach.

The Internal Assessment is a 10-minute Individual Oral where students analyze how a global issue is presented in a literary work and a non-literary body of work. It is recorded and externally moderated. It contributes 30% (SL) and 20% (HL) to the final grade.Our tutors guide students in text selection, global issue framing, and rehearsal for confident delivery.

Standard Level (SL):

Paper 1 (1 hour 15 minutes): Analysis of a non-literary text (20 marks).

Paper 2 (1 hour 45 minutes): Comparative essay on two literary works responding to a question (30 marks).

Higher Level (HL):

Paper 1 (2 hours 15 minutes): Analysis of two non-literary texts (40 marks).

Paper 2 (2 hours 15 minutes): Comparative literary essay (30 marks).

HL Essay: 1,200–1,500 word analysis of a non-literary or literary text studied in class (20 marks).
