Andra Popescu-Birlan graduated from Bocconi University with a BSc in International Economics and Management and is now beginning her Master’s in Management at London Business School. During high school, she was consistently on the high honor roll, earning 9 A*s in her IGCSEs and a 43/45 in the IB Diploma with 7s in her Higher Level subjects (Mathematics AA, Economics, and Geography). Andra has several years of experience tutoring IB students and is passionate about helping them build confidence in their problem-solving skills and exam techniques. She believes that effective tutoring is not only about achieving excellent results but also about nurturing curiosity and motivation. Her goal is for every student to feel supported, engaged, and confident in their ability to succeed, both in the classroom and beyond.

Heavy focus on past papers to help students build confidence, accuracy and strong exam technique. In lessons, we break down mark schemes, practise exam-style questions and identify the patterns that come up repeatedly, so students learn not just the content but how to apply it effectively under exam conditions. Clear, structured feedback is given and practice is tailored to each student’s syllabus, strengths and weaker areas, with the goal of helping them become more independent, efficient and confident in their preparation.
