For the past eight years, Manoj has specialised in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), holding a Category 2 Certification in Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches (AA HL). He has taught full-time at D.Y. Patil International School, Pune, and has also served as a substitute IBDP Mathematics teacher at renowned institutions such as the International School of Siena (Italy) and the International School of The Hague (Netherlands).
Currently, Manoj is supporting IB students globally through one-to-one tutoring and intensive revision courses for leading schools, including The International School of Brussels, International School Ombrosa (France), and The English School of Colombia. His teaching journey has also taken him to students from Singapore, the Philippines, India, Europe, Australia, and the USA.
Having accumulated over 10,000 hours of teaching experience, Manoj is proud that many of his students have achieved perfect 7s in IBDP Mathematics. He is also an examiner for GCE A Level, a trained counsellor, and a dedicated mentor to learners with Dyslexia and ADHD. His approach combines compassion, structure, and interactive learning, ensuring that every student feels confident, supported, and inspired to achieve their full potential.
Manoj’s teaching style is highly personalised and inquiry-driven, blending technology with conceptual clarity to make mathematics both accessible and enjoyable. He believes that one-to-one tutoring offers a unique opportunity to tailor learning to individual needs, fostering both academic excellence and genuine curiosity.
🧠 My teaching is personalised, structured and focused on understanding rather than memorising. I begin by identifying what a student already understands and where they need support, then tailor each lesson accordingly.📐 I break complex mathematical ideas into clear, manageable steps and encourage students to explain their thinking, ask questions and develop their own problem-solving strategies.📝 As an Edexcel A Level Mathematics Examiner, I also place strong emphasis on exam technique—understanding what a question is really asking, choosing an appropriate method, presenting solutions clearly and avoiding common mistakes.🎯 Lessons include a balance of concept building, guided practice and exam-style questions, with the level of challenge adjusted as the student progresses. I use digital tools, visual explanations and interactive examples when they genuinely help make a concept clearer.🌱 My aim is not simply to help a student get through the next test, but to help them become more confident, independent and comfortable with Mathematics.
Our tutors go through a rigorous selection process. Each one is interviewed to assess their teaching ability, completes a test of their IB subject knowledge, and has passed a police and background check. They bring extensive IB tutoring experience and a proven track record of helping students achieve their academic goals
