This is Dr Salma Wagih, a passionate and dedicated educator with a strong foundation in both science and education. I hold a MA degree from Liverpool John Moores University, UK, strengthening my expertise in advanced educational practice. I also hold a PGCE certification and a MSc degree in Clinical Pharmacy ,Al-Azhar University. I have 10 years of experience teaching science and physics across British and International Baccalaureate (IB) curricula. This has helped me develop a deep understanding of diverse learning frameworks and student needs. For the past 5 years, I have specialized in teaching physics to IB students. I focus on developing students’ problem-solving skills, scientific thinking, and real-world application of concepts. My teaching philosophy centers around creating engaging, inquiry-based learning environments where students can connect theory to practice. I always make sure to adapt my methods to incorporate modern educational strategies and assessment for learning practices. I am particularly skilled in helping students improve critical thinking and research skills, preparing them for academic and career success through their IB journey.
My approach to IGCSE/ A-Level physics centers on breaking down complex concepts into clear, digestible steps, using real-world examples and past paper techniques to build both understanding and exam confidence. I prioritize active problem-solving and encourage students to think like physicists, not just memorize, ensuring they develop the analytical skills needed to tackle any question independently.
Our tutors go through a rigorous selection process. Each one is interviewed to assess their teaching ability, completes a test of their IB subject knowledge, and has passed a police and background check. They bring extensive IB tutoring experience and a proven track record of helping students achieve their academic goals
