Ben has been teaching IB Physics SL and HL at Singapore School Cebu in the Philippines for four years, where his students have achieved grades of 6 to 7, including two students that have entered Ivy League Schools. Ben adheres with the inquiry- and concept-based approach of IB Physics alongside the Cultures of Thinking theories that recognises a dedicate time for thinking. He is known for being empathetic while having the ability to draw out analytical thinking from his students as an opportunity to hone and develop them.

With over 15 years of expert tutoring experience across IB, IGCSE, SAT, and ACT curricula, I specialize in guiding students through the complexities of Math and Physics. Having worked within the IB world since 2009 and serving as an active IB Physics Examiner, I provide an insider’s perspective on mastering assessment criteria. My students consistently achieve excellence, maintaining average scores between 6 and 7 in both IB Physics and Mathematics. This proven track record, combined with a deep understanding of MYP and IP pathways, ensures every learner is equipped to reach their highest academic goals.

David Czétényi recieved his IB diploma with a score of 44 from the Budapest International Secondary Grammar School. He has achieved a score of 7 in Higher Level Physics, Mathematics Analysis and Approaches, Economics as well as Standard Level Business Management and is now pursuing an Engineering degree at the university of KU Leuven. He has arranged online and in-person tutoring sessions during exam season, helped improve Internal Assessments and Extended Essays for 5+ students in multiple subjects. He believes in bridging the gap between the often abstract explanations of IB teachers and the unique comprehension of young adult students.

Dimitrios graduated from the IB Diploma Programme at the Costeas-Geitonas School in Athens with the cohort's top score of 43 points. His exceptional performance granted him direct admission to the Technical University of Munich where he will pursue his Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering at a top-25 university worldwide. Dimitrios was a national finalist in the National Olympiad for Astrophysics and Astronomy and has founded and lead his school's aerospace engineering club. He is also very passionate for the humanities, where aside from complementing his science-heavy curriculum of Math and Physics HL with English and History HL, he has also successfully completed a selective honours programme in International Relations by the University of Amsterdam. Dimitrios wants to help students excel in the IB by adapting to their needs and learning methods, but also by providing structured support and guidance all along the way. He would be very happy to have a chat about any possible collaboration!

Teaching provides a unique opportunity to shape lives and influence young people towards a responsible future, hence, my passion for teaching. As one with a passion for Mathematics and Science, I understand that many students face real challenges grasping the concepts of the subjects. Hence, teaching provides me the avenue to tackle this, while also making a contribution; giving back to the society and also challenging myself towards further growth and development. I have taught since my secondary school days; taking more than 800 students in total; at various levels (on a one-on-one basis, in groups and at mass teaching levels). I have also taught at various educational levels (secondary and tertiary) as well as to a diverse range of student ethnic backgrounds with a very high success rate in student comprehension evinced by their later performance. Having gained significant experience teaching this subject, I have a very broad understanding of what is expected of students writing the International Baccalaureate exams. I have also prepared students for varying exams including the – 11+, 13+, 16+, and curricula - GCSE and A-levels (Edexcel, OCR, AQA), IB (SL and HL) and Scottish National with excellent results from students. My teaching success rate has been largely due to my deep and vast understanding of the subject matter, coupled with my calm, interesting and engaging manner of communication that makes even an average and uninterested student develop a desire for Maths and Science. I use diverse teaching-aids, web-resources etc. as necessary."
I hold a First Class honours degree in Chemical Engineering and a Masters degree in Advanced Chemical Engineering from the Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine. I am also a UK Qualified Teacher with more than 4000 hours teaching/tutoring experience over a period of 15+ years. This has provided me with diverse experience necessary for tutoring different students' backgrounds with evident successes in the exams. I am hoping to be of help and assistance to any student in need.
