I, Carlos G, hold a degree of Teacher of Foreign Languages from the University of Castilla - La Mancha, Spain. I have taught Spanish A and B in the PYP and MYP, English Communications in the MYP and Spanish Ab Initio in the DP at the International School of London for seventeen years, where my IBDP students have consistently achieved marks of 5 and above. As I have taught in all three programmes Spanish B, I know exactly how to scaffold my students' learning and how to push them to be the best prepared for their next steps.

With over 15 years of expert tutoring experience across IB, IGCSE, SAT, and ACT curricula, I specialize in guiding students through the complexities of Math and Physics. Having worked within the IB world since 2009 and serving as an active IB Physics Examiner, I provide an insiderâs perspective on mastering assessment criteria. My students consistently achieve excellence, maintaining average scores between 6 and 7 in both IB Physics and Mathematics. This proven track record, combined with a deep understanding of MYP and IP pathways, ensures every learner is equipped to reach their highest academic goals.

Cheryl is a highly qualified Biologist. She holds a First Class Honours degree in Anatomy and Cell Biology from the University of Sheffield and a PhD (focusing on the oxytocin receptor in the male reproductive tract) from the University of Bristol.
For the last 26 years, Cheryl has taught in independent schools around the globe (including the UK, NZ and Egypt). She has taught Biology at the following levels: GCSE, A level, IB MYP and IB DP as well as NCEA courses in Biology. She has also taught Chemistry and Science and Environmental Systems and Societies. Keeping up to date with the courses through professional development, Cheryl's understanding of the mentioned courses is current.
Cheryl's students have consistently achieved grades greater than their CEM data predictions. This means that Cheryl always adds 'value' to the achievement of her students. She is particularly adept at advising on the Internal Assessment element of the Biology IB course and can provide feedback or mark the entire IA to give an insight into what grade you might achieve. Cheryl is proud of the fact that the the grades she awarded her students throughout her career matched with those of the IB examiners: her marking was consistently 'consistent' with them. This is no mean feat!
Cheryl also likes to aid students with study and revision skills. She has a Master's degree in Education and Psychology from the University of Cambridge. Her thesis investigated the impact of graphic organisers on metacognition and learning.
Cheryl has been described as approachable and good humored and builds working relationships easily. She uses a constructivist approach in her teaching which means that her students are not passive but active learners.

I hold a degree in Management Information Systems, an MBA with a specialization in Project Management, and Iâm currently pursuing a PhD in Information Systems Management. I specialize in English Literature, History, and the full range of IB subjects, and I take pride in guiding students through the unique requirements of each component. Iâve helped many students improve their grades by teaching them not only the subject matter but also essential skills like critical thinking, essay writing, and time management.
My approach is personalizedâI tailor my lessons to fit the specific needs and learning styles of each student. I focus on building confidence and ensuring that every student not only understands the material but also enjoys the learning process.
