Felix was born in GĂźines, a large village in Cuba, where he grew up surrounded by natureâlikely the reason he still loves being outdoors. He attended a high-tech secondary school, where he developed a passion for Physics, Mathematics, science, and electronics. He later moved to Europe, where he earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electronic Engineering. Seven years spent in various European cities gave him a deep appreciation for art, history, and museums, as well as friendships with people from all over the world.
He first worked as an engineer at a biotechnology research center and later taught IB Physics, Mathematics, and IGCSE Science for over ten years at an international school in Havana (ISH). He also tutored students in IB Mathematics across two consecutive syllabuses: Mathematical Studies and Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation (AI). Through tutoring and classroom teaching, he came to understand firsthand what inclusiveness, active learning, differentiation, and inquiry truly mean.
